I predict that Bob Ewell who is the father of Mayella will kill Atticus. Every time Atticus goes by Bob, he's been threatening to kill Atticus. It is inevitable that Bob Ewell will carry out his mission/plan to make sure that Atticus won't tell the judge. His mission/plan was to also kill Judge Taylor. I support my prediction with the fact that Atticus along with his children are more than likely will expose the truth. It is improbable that Atticus will not make it to the end of the story.
I also predict that "Boo" Radley would no longer sustain his obscure existences. Once Jem and Scout see "Boo" Radley, it will ease their apprehension and fears. Dill will also stop persuing to see "Boo" Radley. I think that Jem and Scout will still be afraid of him, but not as much once they see him.

Everyone had a different response to the case. Everyone had a different side to the case. Jem, Aunt Alexandra, Dill, Miss Maudie, Bob Ewell all had different reactions. So far reading this book, it seems like Bob Ewell did it. Bob actually did do it. He didn't say that he did do it, but he made of clear that he did do it. Jem was sad, Jem seemed a little disappointed. Jem was so investigated in the case. He was hoping for Atticus win the case. He kind of knew that Tom didn't do it because Atticus told him how society works. Jem really thought he was going to win. Right after he was convicted of assaulting and raping Mayella, Jem cried. He wasn't always moody, but he was hoping for Atticus to win. Then also Aunt Alexandra knew that Tom was going to lose. It was all white people who are racist towards all black people. Atticus felt the same way. Dill felt like Jem, but he wasn't as sad as Jem, but also Dill didn't have feel happy at all.
Miss Muadie wasn't sad at all. Miss Muadie felt the same. Miss Maudie said that if Atticus wants to throw his head to the wall than he could don't stop him. Miss Muadie knew the outcome also. All the grown ups knew the outcome. Right after Miss Muadie gave Jem a cake. She knew how Jem felt so she gave him a bigger piece of cake but she also gave him a bigger one because he was growing up. I remember when me and my brother used to be like Jem and Scout. We always liked to play with each other in different ways. We built legos. We would help cook with our parents, we did a lot of that back then. Made jokes out of random things. We would work with our dad. Many times my brother and I would watch movies together also. We always played video games with each other. When my brother started to get older, we grew apart in some ways. I do one thing, then my brother would probably do the opposite. In the case of Jem and Scout their relationship was described as close knit. As they grew older their relationship changed. In the case of my brother and I , I guess the age difference caught up with us but I wouldn't say we grew apart but it has changed.
My brother Kenneth and I never went to a summer camp , but we managed to always find something to do. I would see our neighbor and talk to them. I met someone who lived in Colorado when I visited to Las Vegas. We went swimming. We would always make dares to do something weird in the pool. I don't remember all the dares, but they were fun. Jem and Scout would visit their dad at the courthouse when he had a trial. Summer was different for Scout and Jem . Summer for them meant nothing but free time to do nothing.

Perspective of Dill
I came back after all these months. I started to hang out more with Jem than Scout. Me and Jem played a new game. Some one rolls the wheel while someone was sits in it. It was really fun until I rolled into "Boo Radley's" place. I was so frighten, I could pee in my pants with out knowing. I know I'm scared of Mr. Radley.Its been a while since i been here to visit my aunt Rachel. I can continue my dare. I still wanted to see "Boo Radley". Nothing was going to stop me this time. This wouldn't be my last time trying to get "Boo Radley" to come out, but I am so anxious to see him.
We went to Mr.Radley's place and looked through the windows. I didn't get to see him, but the next thing you know, I was getting shot at. I heard a gun go of. I ran back to my aunt Rachel's place. I saw a group of people in one little place. They heard the gunshot.

Prospective of Dill:
I came from Merridan, Mississippi to visit my aunt Rachel who lives in Maycomb. As I sat outside in the backyard I was wondering what those 2 kids looking through my aunt's wired fence. I felt a little irked when Jem said my name was longer than me. I stopped caring for a while. Jem then told me about "Boo" Radley. A guy who almost never leave his house.
Once Jem told me about that story, I came up with an idea. I dared Jem to make "Boo" Radley come out. He didn't want to do it. Right after I asked Jem to make "Boo" Radley to come out, I was fasinated by "Boo" Radley's house. I kept looking at his house and then I walked closer and closer until I leaned to the light-pole. I was scared to go any closer.
I wanted to intimidate "Boo" Radley to come out, but I was a little bit too scared. The next day, I was hanging out at the light pole. I thought that Jem was going to come and instead, he told me, I hope you've got it though your head, he'll kill us. Jem kept telling me why he couldn't do it , almost in a condescending tone. But I knew deep down he was scared too. With perseverance I dared him to follow with the plan to get "Boo" Radley to come out. I admit we are both scared out of our pants. Response: Every night Ishmael and his friends dream about the same thing. They feel like they have been wounded by a gun or a knife. Since Ishmael and his friends weren't in the war zone, they still felt like they were in it. Ishmael always saw blood on the ground everywhere he goes. The only way Ishmael can avoid all of this trouble, is when he moves out of the town. Since he he has not continue, he will continue live in fear.
Significance: I had never had a come to terms with death. If I was Ishmael, I would run away. Although, it is hard to avoid dreams, dreams have a purpose. In Ishmael's case his fears is a big part of his life. His fears may consume his dreams but his desire is to be safe.
Question: Have you ever had a bad dream where you can't go back to sleep?

Response: Ishmael was in danger because the fisherman come out, put his machete and fishing spear on the boys' neck. Ishmael was terrified. He was in shock. He was unable to run because he was in shock, instead he yells. This was his reaction to the fisherman. Since they were in a war, no one can trust anyone.
Reflection: I can only imagine what it feels like to be in a shock. your whole body freezes. I don't know what it must feel like to have a machete and fisherman spears pointed at my head. But it must be a terrifying experience.

Significance: This relates to Ishmael Beah because he is in a war with the rebels. Ishmael has been forced to go back to his village and help defend it from the rebels control. I can't believe that kids who are younger than me has been forced to fight a war. Later on in the book, Ishmael may have to resort killing a rebel if they try to stop him again.
Reflection: If I was Ishmael, I would not do anything different. I would run away from the rebels everytime I get a chance. I can't really say if I would react the same way he did because my life experiences is so different from Ishmael's.
Question 1: If there was a war going on would you stay and defend your home land or run away and risk losing everything?

Quote 2: " Is there an end to this madness and is there any future beyond the bushes," Ishmael said.
Significances: This quote relates to Ishmael feeling like a prisoner within the confinement of the bushes.On the other side of the bushes consisted of terror, killing and violence. It is the senselessness day in and day out the violence being inflicted on the villagers. The bushes is the only place he can find as a sanctuary from the violence. But Ishmael's determination to go home is stronger than his desire to be content within the bushes.
Reflection: If I was Ishmael, I wouldn't stay in the bushes, I would try to find a better place to hide. If the rebels find me, I would be force to fight them back or die trying. If all I know is violence and death, I would be pondering the question is there life after death.

What was the life/role of the characters in their home country?
Significance: This quote relates to Ishmael's life foreshadowing the physical violence he will be face with. The violence will be the reason why he will migrate to the U.S while the neighboring towns where being attacked , Ishmael's family's safety was uncertain due to the spread of chaos from rebel's attack. At this point Ishmael's role was survivor, not a child, nor a son, but a fighter.
Reflect: I can relate to Ishmael's school being suddenly close due to the rebels attack because a few years ago my school was close due to the wildfires. When the fire hit, I didn't know when school was going to open or my friends and teacher were in danger because of the wildfires.
Question 1: If you knew your community was going to be attack by a gang will you stay and defend or leave, explain why?

Why have the characters in your book come to America?
Significance: This quote relates to Ishmael's family. He's always wants to go see about them, but their is always someone to sidetrack him from going to his family, This foreshadows Ishmael departing from his town for safety. This is one of the reasons why Ishmael migrates to the U.S.
Reflect: If I was Ishmael, I would feel scared too knowing the rebels were coming to attack anyone who stood in there way. I can't even feel how scared Ishmael. Every time he had a dream, he can feel the pain of being shot. I probably can't live without my family.

1. What has surpised you in the book? Why?
What surprised me in Blood is Thicker is Savon's behavior to everyone. In the beginning he was nice to everyone. Would help out his uncle in the store. Since then, he has been causing lots of trouble to everyone. He has even joined a gang after losing weight. Savon thought joining a gang would make him mean. This is what surprised me in the book.
2. How did what you read today make you feel? Why?
What I read made me feel sad about Hakeem because he has a lot on his hands, including taking care of his dad. Savon bugs him about every little thing. Its hard for Hakeem to play his guitar or give guitar lessons to his next door neighbor because Savon keeps his bedroom lock most times which is where he keeps his guitar. Savon does what ever he wants and Hakeem ends up cleaning the mess Savon leaves behind. That is why I feel sad for him. Life is not fair. We must deal with whatever life hands us.

1. What does this book make you wonder about? Why?
This book makes me wonder what Savon is going to do next. I also wonder about Hakeem's relationship with his cousin Savon. What Hakeem going to do with Savon. This story makes me wonder if Hakeem and Savon would get in a fight. Some thing is always going on between them. I wonder what will happen in the conclusion of the story.

Yes, because he puts a lot of suspense and drama in the book. Also the way he writes makes me wonder what is going to happen next. I read a couple of other books such as The Bully and The Gun. Inside of me all I was wondering what's been happening, I thought this was just 1 big dream. Eventually I would wake up in my own room with a soft mattress. WRONG! my life has been teribble since I moved to Detriot. Savon, my cousin has been acting wierd and mean.
I hate Detriot . I want to move back to California, waking up to silence. I never woke up to silence since I've been here. I don't have a girlfriend anymore. I hate this. I never want to wake up listening to snoring again. With all of this, I have to work too. We could have been living in Southern California. I can't even sleep on a hard mattress near Savon's bed. The floor is my bed. Savon keeps me out of the room too. I can't even talk to my cousin . We are family, but Savon don't act like it. I thought blood was thicker than water.

Perspective: RalphI can't keep hiding away from Jack and his crew. What do I do? There is nothing left. There is only me in this group. I want me and Jack to be friends to at least we get off this island. What else can I do. I want off this island. I think Jack is a major savage. There is nothing to do. I need to hide somewhere safe. I need to hide in this ditch, it seem to cover pretty safe. I need to stay here so Jack or Roger doesn't know where I am.
I think Jack would had to be a savage for the way Jack whip them in to the tribe. I know he must be a devil. Roger has also made a noise when they find me and bring the hole tribe to come. I don't know, but I think its idiotic. They found me, I don't know how and burnt down my hiding place. I ran as fast as I can.
I fell and saw a marine right in front of me. Holding a gun. He wasn't holding it to me or anything. Jack appears with a stick in his hand running with it. I felt safe. Percival forgot where he lived, that's a first. I take responsibities on the island to claim it. The naval officer was mad because we killed 2 people on the island. It was Piggy and Simon.

Perspective: Simon’s ghost
I can’t believe Jack and his tribe killed me. I never expected that coming. There was a aviator in the cave. I ran out and Jack and his tribe killed me. Now I’m going to see how everyone else is doing. There goes Ralph and Piggy. What are they doing, let me go see. I heard that Ralph and Piggy talking about the death over me. They were talking about what happened to me. They were talking about how Ralph and Jack saw me. I don’t think they saw me. They probably thought that it was the beastie. There isn’t a such thing as a “Beastie.” A beastie is the enter demon in their selves.
Jack’s plan with Maurice and Roger was to disturber with Ralph’s tribe. They were planning that from the start. Only if I was there, I could have told Ralph what was going to happen. I do thank God for taking me to haven. The attack happened. Ralph’s tribe is in danger. Jack has a big tribe and Ralph has a small one. There is no way that Ralph tribe will win, but you just can’t give up hope.
Jack is probably attack Ralph’s tribe again. I know when Ralph uses the conch. Almost no one will come. Lets see what happens next.

I saw the lord of the flies in my secret place. I know that Jack doesn’t care about anybody. The only thing he cares about is himself. He is a self center boy. That makes me want to hit him until he has some since. I don’t think anyone has since. I am starting to lose my mind. I went over to the part where was the LOTF at. I just sat there just looking at it. The LOTF was talking to me. That was awkward. I can’t believe that the flies would rather prefer the pig’s head instead of anything else. To me, that is just nasty. That was one of the most nastiest thing I would ever eat. I know that flies eat after thing that been dead and smell rotten. After I saw the pig’s head, I went up to where the dead aviator. I was scared. I walked slowly down walking backwards. My heart was pumping fast than the speed of light. I was scared. Jack lets in Piggy and Ralph to his party. He got some people to go get them food. Jack said that we don’t need the conch anymore. There was almost no one of Ralph’s side. There was only Piggy, Ralph and Samneric. At the end of the party, it starts to rain a lot, and they also chant kill the pig cut her throat and spill her blood. Simon runs down and say that that was the beastie when it was Simon.
I don’t think it was any ones responsibilities because it was dark. I couldn’t blame anyone. They always talk about the beastie. That was the only thing they really talk about. No one is blamed for this murder. Every one helped because they where all scared.

Scene 1: Jack runs away and make his own tribe
Ralph called a meeting. The meeting was about the fire. All of us would have been gone by now, but Jack messed up and went to go hunt for a pig. Jack said that we can have a little fun. Jack also said that we need to stop listening to Ralph and stop obeying his orders. Most of the littluns went with Jack and Roger. Most of the people went with Jack because they wanted to kill a pig. There is nothing exciting about that. I can’t even find that fun to do. Jack ran across to start his own tribe. Jack turned evil. He became a savage. That’s why he started his own tribe. That’s all he wanted to do, was to kill a pig. They would have left by now. Jack wants to become in control. He didn’t want to listen to Ralph complaining about how they would have left by now. He doesn’t care at all. If Jack would have never told Percival that we weren’t going to leave. They might not theway that Jack is doing things. If they were still doing things that Ralph did it, they could have left. I can understand there pain. I really can’t because they are stranded on a island. Now that’s pretty bad. Jack wants to do everything his way. The way Ralph does it, is good. Jack just wants to hunt, that’s it. Jack was complaining that we don’t need shelter. He said we need meat. Shelter is more important than food, because they already had fruit. That’s pretty good. That’s how everything led up to Jack making his own tribe.

Scene 3: Lord of the flies talks to threatens Simon
Simon was starting to loose his mind. He heard the pigs head talking to him. He must have gone crazy because he is on the island alone with some kids who are acting mental. The pig threatens him. (The pig was not actually threatening him.) Simon wants to get off this island badly.
I could understand that. He was stranded for a while now. The pig was threatening him by saying he might do something really bad to others like killing. The pig said to forget all about. I don’t think that Simon forget about. He would probably actually do something.
Simon walks away from the pig thinking that something might happen to him. I think he is going to do something. It might be good to others, but not him. Ralph or Piggy might not like it, but I know Jack would like it.
